Recently I was watching a YouTube video and the person said something that really resonated with me:
“Just because we know we should do something doesn’t mean we actually do it.”
It doesn’t sound all that earth-shattering but it made me think…
You know you should drink more water but do you actually do it?
You know you should move your body more but do you actually do it?
You know you should give yourself grace but do you actually do it?
You’d think that if we know we should do something, we’d just do it, no problem. But often even when we know what we should do – and even want to – we still choose inaction, or we stick to what’s easy, comfortable and/or familiar. I just thought it was interesting food for thought…Knowledge doesn’t always equal action. I think that, for me, just being cognizant of this can help me align the two more and if you relate hopefully it can you as well.
