‘Editor’s Corner’ is a monthly-ish series highlighting what I’m loving, what I’ve been up to, what’s on my mind and more.
1. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Some of our festive highlights included spending quality time with family, Santa’s Rock N Lights Drive-Thru Light Show and attending a gingerbread decorating event. Lake also saw The Gingerbread Child at the Des Moines Playhouse with her Preschool class and really enjoyed it.

3. I brought this game to play with family over Christmas and we had a blast. It’s definitely one of my favorites.
4. Attention local Lego fans: Iowa will be getting its first store next year.
6. Such a cool gift idea for adults (or kids or teens!) to give their grandparents. And another one here. Physical gifts are great, but in my opinion, the gift of one’s time reigns supreme.
7. I always love seeing gracious gift receiving videos like this one this time of year.
8. I also love seeing thrifted gift hauls like this one. It really highlights what gems can be found at your local thrift store.

10. This is one of the coolest Happy Meal toys I’ve seen in awhile.
12. After the wildy successful year she’s had, this definitely makes sense. Also, how cool are these little costumes?!
