‘Editor’s Corner’ is a monthly-ish series highlighting what I’m loving, what I’ve been up to, what’s on my mind and more.
1. The big event of the month: Lake turned FOUR!
2. The girls had a blast playing at the new Imagination Street in Ankeny. Check out all the fun we had HERE.
3. We loved watching Lake perform at her ‘Spring Fling’ at gymnastics this month, which is an annual showcase where gymnasts perform for their family and friends. She had a great time and it was so much fun to see what she learned over the past year.
4. I hope all the moms and mother figures had a great Mother’s Day! We visited T’s mom’s and went to a graduation party. The following Saturday I redeemed my Mother’s Day gift at Spavia in Ankeny. I got the Purifying Detox Wrap and Soothing Recovery Facial and both were amazing.
5. Father’s Day will be here soon! Check out THIS POST for if you’re in need of some gift ideas.
6. T gets together with some of his college friends every year and this year they met up in Washington D.C. They did some sightseeing and attended what turned out to be a really good game between the Nationals and the Cubs.
7. I partnered up with AE Dairy this month to promote their whole milk yogurt. The ‘Sweet Cream’ flavor is my favorite.
8. Just like previous summers, Lake and Etta will be living in these shoes. I love that they’re waterproof and are so easy to clean.
9. I enjoyed these two videos that affirm that the secret to success is being cringe: Video 1, Video 2.
10. 10 Financial Decisions You’ll Regret 10 Years From Now
11. I need to make this date shake stat. Sounds delicious!
12. I was saddened to learn of the passing of Rick Hoyt. I have always enjoyed and been inspired by Rich and his dad’s racing adventures and accomplishments.
13. And lastly, ONE GOOD QUOTE:
“Most of the time you don’t need more information, you need more courage.”
-JAMES CLEAR
Hope you have a wonderful June!
