Ever since Lake was around 2 years old she’s enjoyed doing yoga poses. And Etta (almost 2) loves mimicking everything Lake does, so in that respect she enjoys yoga as well.
I really enjoy practicing yoga and so it’s been fun to share it with my girls as well. I’m so grateful there are books, videos and various free resources available to make yoga easy and accessible for toddlers/little kids. Below are some of our toddler yoga favorites!

1. ABC Yoga by Christine Engel
ABC Yoga is one of Lake’s favorite bedtime books. She loves doing the poses while T or I read her the story. The illustrations are darling and in addition to yoga, the book incorporates animals, objects and letter literacy.
2. Yoga Bunny by Brian Russo
I bought Yoga Bunny for Lake’s Easter basket this year. It’s a super cute short story and I just discovered there’s a sequel.

A short and sweet follow-along yoga video from the wildly popular Cocomelon YouTube channel.
4. Cosmic Kids ‘Frozen’ Yoga
“Used in schools and homes all over the world, Cosmic Kids produce videos of yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed specifically for kids aged 3 and up. The videos are based on interactive adventures from blockbuster animations and well-loved fairytale stories. Interactive adventures build strength, balance and confidence – and get kids into yoga and mindfulness early. Mindfulness has been shown to play a big role in early childhood development.“
As a big Frozen fan, Lake loves this ‘Frozen’ yoga video. (It also happens to be their most popular video!) In addition to the Cosmic Kids Yoga YouTube channel, there’s also a Cosmic Kids Yoga app.
