Meet Etta!

I’m SO excited to introduce our sweet baby girl, Etta!

It’s safe to say that T, Lake and I are just a tad obsessed with her. She has the sweetest demeanor and we’re constantly swooning over her and soaking up all of the baby cuddles.

One thing that I learned after having Lake is how fast they grow up, so I’m being extra mindful to be as present as possible. The baby days are so special and go by at warp speed!

The transition from one to two kids has went pretty well. It’s definitely an adjustment, though, since obviously a baby and a toddler have very different needs. T and I often “divide and conquer!”

Lake has really taken to her “big sister” role. There are definitely times when she gets annoyed she has to share T and I – especially T since she’s the biggest daddy’s girl – but other than that, she has adjusted so well. It might sound like T and I are imagining this but Etta is absolutely enamored with Lake. Her eyes really do light up whenever Lake plays and interacts with her. It’s like she just knows Lake’s different/extra special!

I wasn’t planning on taking as long of a break from the blog as I did, but, in the end, I’m glad I did. I fully focused on and savored each and every day with Etta during my 12 weeks of maternity leave. I returned to work at the end of September and while life is busy, it’s nice to be in our normal routine now.

T and I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who sent us congratulatory texts, cards, flowers and gifts. Your love and support mean the world to us!

Not even a day old and already making the news! 😉

Due to COVID-19 precautions, our hospital didn’t allow visitors under 10 years of age, so we introduced Etta to her big sister home. It’s safe to say Lake was in awe.
