Lake Is 4!

Aaand just like that, Lake is FOUR!!!!

As is tradition, we did a little birthday photoshoot to document the special occasion. She was super excited to wear her bright pink dress, sparkly sandals and party hat!

Since her birthday fell on a weekday, we celebrated at home with our family and we’ll celebrate with both mine and T’s family soon as well.

A few of her favorite gifts were these two Disney Princess dolls and these colorful rings.

Lake still really loves Belle and so she wanted a Belle cake. Alyssa at The Sweetest Thing did such a great job!

I made cupcakes for her to take to her class at daycare. I used this cake/cupcake mix and this vanilla butter cream frosting recipe, which is my go-to frosting. It’s delicious and pipes really well!

Last year, we started a tradition of a ‘birthday interview,’ where I ask questions while taking video of her answers. It will be so much fun for us to watch all the videos throughout the years – especially when she gets older. She already enjoyed watching her video from last year right after we wrapped up shooting this one!
